How does it work?
A labiaplasty (also called labiaplasty) is a surgical procedure that removes excess tissue from the labia minora. The surgery is performed under local anesthesia. The doctor will first carefully mark the area to be removed. The area is then numbed and the excess tissue is removed. Blood vessels are cauterized, and the area is closed with dissolvable sutures. The procedure typically takes 45 to 60 minutes.
The treatment is suitable for women who experience physical discomfort, desire aesthetic enhancement, or feel insecure about the shape or size of their labia. It's important that you are in good health and have realistic expectations for the results.
Recovery & results
After the procedure, it's important to take it easy for a few weeks, even if you experience few symptoms. This promotes recovery. Swelling and mild pain are normal and can be relieved with painkillers. Most swelling disappears within 6 to 8 weeks. The final result will be visible after 6 to 12 months, when the scars have completely healed.
As with any surgical procedure, there are risks, such as infection, post-operative bleeding, wound problems, or a cosmetic result that is not entirely satisfactory. At Private Mediclinic, we do everything we can to minimize these risks and provide clear aftercare instructions following your treatment.
Rates & appointment
The price of a labiaplasty at Private Mediclinic is €700. We require a €300 deposit in advance. This amount will be deducted from the total cost.
